Be sure to ask the auction for the “fee schedule” so that you know how much auction buyer’s fees will be and also any applicable taxes.

While price ranges vary, these are great opportunities to get a good deal on a used car under $5000. Also, you may want to visit the auction a few times before buying a car because their inventories change very frequently.

If you do not see something interesting the first trip, you can easily attend the next auction the following week. Some auctions will also allow you to buy a car off the lot without having to bid in the auction.
